M. Michelle "Mikki" Smith

M. Michelle "Mikki" Smith, 65, of Quakertown died February 11, 2012 in Keystone House, Hospice Wyndmoor, Pa. Born in Lansdale she was the daughter of the late William A., Sr. & Esther Margaret "Peg" (Diehl) Smith. She was the founder of the Great American Popcorn Works in Telford, and the Butterfly Photo Work Shop in Milford Square. Most recently she owned and operated MM Consulting Services in Milford Square. Mikki was a graduate of Cedar Crest College and a nationally ranked tennis coach for Cedar Crest College. She was an all around athlete especially enjoying skiing and biking. She loved animals, books and gardening. She also volunteered with the Milford Township Historical Society and helped develop the Molasses Creek Park in Milford Township. She was a member of Quakertown Evangelical Church in Quakertown. Survived by two brothers William A. of California, and James R. and his wife Robin of Tennessee. A sister Deborah Wetzel and her husband Randal of Quakertown. Twelve nieces and nephews, and eight great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Joanne. The family will be holding a memorial service on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 12:00 P.M. in Quakertown Evangelical Church 317 Juniper St. Quakertown, PA 18951. Call 11:00-12:00 in the church.
