Lucy C. Mammele

Lucy C. Mammele, 79, formerly of Quakertown, died Saturday, June 16, 2012 in her home in The Villages, FL. She was the loving wife of Edwin A. Mammele. They were married 59 years on May 2, 2012. Born in Quakertown, PA she was the loving daughter of the late Cecilia (Grzegorzewicz) Lest. She was a former member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church, Quakertown. Lucy was a self-employed beautician, owning and operating Lucy's Beauty Shop in Quakertown for 30 plus years, retiring in 1995. Lucy had many other talents including: cooking, baking, sewing, painting, creating silk floral arrangements and other handcrafted items. She was a thoughtful and giving person, often giving of her time and talents to others. In addition to her husband, she was the loving mother of two sons Mark and his wife Barbara of Joplin, MO, Gary of Quakertown, and daughter Linda Greenwood and her husband John of Doylestown. She was the loving grandmother of Max, Alex, and Jennifer Mammele, Joli Mammele and Zara (Mammele) Radzai and her husband Ronny, Kirk and Melanie Greenwood, and the loving great grandmother of Owen Radzai.. She is also survived by her sister Rose Marie wife of Calvin Neikam of Allentown. She was predeceased by a brother Carl Ziara. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. in the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown.
