Louis Wolownik, 90 of Quakertown died Saturday August 18, 2012 in St. Luke's University Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Elsie (Roth) Wolownik. They celebrated sixty six years of marriage last December. Born in Coatesville he was the son of the late Akiton and Anastasia (Marchewka) Wolownik. Before his retirement in 1976 he was a tool and die maker for the former Philco Ford Co. in Lansdale. Louis was a member of West Swamp Mennonite Church in Quakertown where he served as a usher and member of the Flood Disaster Committee. He was a US Army veteran and POW of WWII serving with the 17th Airborne Parachute Infantry. He also enjoyed gardening and fishing. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter Donna Bracalente and her husband Rick of Hellertown. Two grandchildren Kirk and wife Miriam and Dominic and wife Tracey. Four great grandchildren Taylor, Dominic, Jr., Jordyn and Meadow. Service will be held on Tuesday August 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in West Swamp Mennonite Church 2501 Allentown Rd. Quakertown PA 18951.
