Lloyd P. Riu, 91 of Coopersburg died Friday February 20, 2009 in the Devon House of Allentown. He was the husband of the late Sarah (Berger) Riu. Born in Montpelier, Vermont he was the son of the late Emile and Teressa (Varnish) Riu. He was a master stone cutter for Coopersburg Granite Co. which he managed from 1965 until his retirement in 1985. Lloyd was a Master Sergeant in the US Army stationed in Italy during WWII. He was a 50 year member and past president of the Coopersburg Lions Club. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter. Lloyd was caring and especially devoted to his late parents, uncles and his extended family. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers Irving Riu and Norman Riu and a sister Ivy Bale. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday February 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the C. R.
