Lester S. Weiss, 96, of Quakertown died August 11th, 2009 at home. He was the husband of the late Frances C. (Mohr) Weiss, his wife of 55 years. A lifelong resident of Milford Twp., he was the son of the late Raymond & Rebecca (Shelly) Weiss. He was a farmer most of his life and later worked for the former W. R. Grace in Quakertown and Moyers Chicks in Quakertown. Upon his retirement, Lester dedicated much of his life to volunteering for Meals on Wheels, Frederick Mennonite Community, and Grand View Hospital, where he was recognized for logging 14,000 volunteer hours. On Sundays, Lester would conduct services in the hospital chapel. He was a charter member of Milford Square Fire House and also served on the Quakertown School Board for many years. Lester was a member of West Swamp Mennonite Church where he taught Sunday School for 75 years. He is survived by a son Clarence and his wife Joy of Milford Square; a sister Laura Rotenberger of Quakertown; twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son - Richard L. Weiss, Sr., a daughter in law - Elsie Weiss and a granddaughter - Angel Weiss. Services will be held on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at West Swamp Mennonite Church 2501 Allentown Rd, Quakertown. Call Friday 10:00-11:00 A.M. in the church. The C. R.
