Leroy "Reds" Leister, 77 of Sellersville died Saturday December 22, 2012 in his home. He was the husband of Carol "Bonnie" (Moronese) Leister. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on July 15, 2012. Born in Pleasant Valley he was the son of the late Ervin and Mary (Feigel) Leister. He was a forklift operator for Laminators in Hatfield before his retirement. Prior to that he was employed at the former Strick Trailers in Perkasie. Reds was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He was also a lifetime member of many clubs including the Great Swamp Fish and Game, Paletown Gun Club, Morwood Sportsman Club and Souderton - Harleysville Fish and Game Club. He was also a Lifetime member of the Tylersport Fire Co. and a 50 year member of the Sellersville Moose. He was also a member of Ridge Valley United Church of Christ for 50 years. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons Leroy and Larry and a daughter Ruby Jones. A stepson Richard Bossert. Two sisters Lorraine Slaughter and Gloria Eckman. One granddaughter Violet Jones. Predeceased by a brother Ervin, Jr. and a sister Alice Leister. Services will be held on Thursday December 27, at 2:00 p.m. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown, PA 18951. Call from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Tylersport Fire Co., 125 W. Ridge Rd.
