Leonard D. "Butch" "Pops" Higginbotham, Sr., 66, of Quakertown died December 25, 2010 in his home. Born in Mullens,West Virginia he was the son of the late Ira & Annie (Riley) Higginbotham. He was an amusement ride technician for Crescent City Amusements, in Slidell, Louisana. He enjoyed dirt track racing, football, and going to casinos playing video poker. He is survived by a son Leonard, Jr., and a daughter Amy Blackmon and her husband Mike all of Quakertown. A brother Bob and a sister JoAnne. Two grandchildren Emily Rebecca & Brandon Joseph. He was predeceased by a daughter Rebecca, a brother Ira, and three sisters Sara, Jane, and Nancy. Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown, PA 18951. Call Friday 6:00-7:00 P.M. Family requests everyone to dress casual.
