Larry M. Somers, 76, of Quakertown died January 23, 2012 in his home. He was the husband of Mary Lou (Rhoades) Somers. They were married 36 years last April. Born in Richland Twsp, he was the son of the late Marshall F. & Ruth (Keller) Somers. He was a self-employed real estate agent and a member of various real estate groups. Larry was a former member of the Sellersville Lions Club and the Quakertown Sertoma. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Quakertown. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons Mark L Somers. and his wife Wendy of Coopersburg, and Stephen D. Buffington and his wife Renee of Arizona. A brother Carl H. and his wife Mary of Sellersville. Three sisters Barbara Egner and her husband Charles, Bonnie Richter both of Quakertown and Joy Geiger and her husband William of Emmaus. Four grandchildren Eryn, Cameron, Molli, and Georgia Mary. A brother in law Richard Burkhardt. He was predeceased by a sister Naomi Burkhardt. Larry's wishes were that there would be no services. The C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc.
