Kenneth W. Wieland, 90, of Quakertown died Monday, February 5, 2007 in Belle Haven Nursing Home. He was the husband of Elvetta J. (Reider) Wieland. Born in Richlandtown he was the son of the late Herbert & Annie (Pearson) Wieland. He was a supervisor for the former Sanford Ulmer Construction in Lansdale before retiring. In the 1930's Kenneth was a three sport star at Quakertown High School and in 2002 was inducted into the Pennridge-Quakertown Area Sports Hall of Fame. He enjoyed gardening especially his tomato garden. Kenneth was a member of First United Church of Christ in Quakertown. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during WW II. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter Rebecca Holsonback and her husband Robert of Green Lane. A grandson Steven T. Holsonback and a great granddaughter Becky Kerver. Services will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown.
