Kenneth Oliver Tuttle, 79 of Quakertown formerly of Blue Point, L.I. NY went peacefully to be with the Lord on July 23, 2008. He was the beloved husband of Caroline (Smith) Tuttle for 58 years. As a former employee of Richardson Vicks/Proctor & Gamble for 23 years he received an award for his Community service and the prize of $1,000 was donated to Christ Home for the Aged. Kens love of country and community was seen by his willingness to serve in the US Navy from 1946 thru 1948. He was also a volunteer fireman with the Blue Point Fire Dept. Volunteer work at the Youth for Christ and Lakeside Christian Camp showed his love for young people. He and his wife also had a ministry to local nursing homes where he preached one Sunday of the month for over 37 years. Ken was attending Locust Valley Chapel of the Christian Missionary Alliance in Coopersburg in his previous church; Emmanuel Baptist of Willow Grove, he served faithfully as a lay leader, teacher and served on numerous committees. In addition to being a beloved husband he was a loving father to his four surviving children: Sherry Lee, husband (Richard J. Lucas, Sr.) of Philadelphia, Jeffery B. Tuttle, Sr. wife (Denise) of Bensalem: Melissa G., husband (Herbert M. Stark) of Quakertown and Joel T. Tuttle, wife (Vanita) of Arnold, MD. He was also survived by eleven grandchildren Richard Jr., Kenneth and Drew Lucas, Jeffery Jr., Zachary and Kurt Tuttle, Danielle and Bradley Stark, Austin, Luke and Emily Tuttle. Also survived by six great grandchildren, two sisters Carol J., husband (Marc Stuart) of Narragansett, RI and Sharon E., husband (Ralph Osterc) of Ft. Pearce, FL a brother Kerry E. Tuttle, wife (Marylou) of Iva, SC three nephews and one niece and their children. He was predeceased by a brother Willard Leroy Tuttle. Service will be held 3:00 p.m. on Sunday July 27, 2008 in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown, PA 18951.
