KaAnn Marie Doerrman, 53, of Quakertown formerly of West Lawn, Pa died December 28, 2009 in Abington Hospice of Warminster. She was the wife of the late Jack Leroy Maxwell. Born in Ancon, Canal Zone, Panama she was the daughter of Richard M. Doerrman of West Lawn and the late Betty Jane (Bachman) Doerrman. She was the step-daughter of Beatrice Doerrman of West Lawn. She was employed by Kutztown University in the Office of Social Equity. Prior to that she was a gourmet chef at local restaurants. KaAnn was a 1974 graduate of Wilson High School West Lawn. She received her Masters of Psychology from Kutztown University where she stayed active as an advisor for the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, an advisor for NAACP, she was also involved with the Women's Center and coordinated the speaking engagement of Maya Angelou at the University. She was an avid rose gardener and enjoyed her secret gardens. She loved physical fitness and enjoyed weight training. In addition to her father and step-mother she is survived by her children Danessa Janell, Kellsey Rachell, and Dylan Marx all at home. A sister Cheryl J. Ebert and husband Michael of Wernersville. Her dogs Liam, Corbin, and Seamus. Services will be held on January 1, 2010 at 8:00 P.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. Call 6:30-8:00 P.M.
