Julius G. Neumann, 74, a resident of Springfield Twsp., for 54 years passed away March 8, 2006 at home after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Barbara J. (Puczolowska) Neumann. They celebrated there 46th wedding anniversary last August. Born in Springfield Twsp., he was the son of the late Julius, Jr. & Marion I. (Wack) Neumann. He retired from Modern Concrete in Ottsville in 1997, prior to that he was employed by A & B Meats in Allentown for 25 years. After his retirement he worked part time at the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Quakertown and for the last five years he was employed at Sands Brothers, Quakertown. He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Quakertown serving on the ushers team and volunteering at the roast beef dinners. He was also a member of the Teamsters Local #773. Julius was a U. S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War receiving a letter of appreciation from police chief Lee Hayong of the National Police of Kangwon Providence for rescuing civilians from the flooding Soyang River. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter Denise wife of William Stockton of Lehighton. Three sons Darryl of Raleigh Durham, N.C., David and his wife Stefanie of Auburn, KY, and Deron and his wife Jessica of Center Valley. Five grandchildren Melissa Weiss, Maryellen, Julie, Elizabeth, & Nathaniel Neumann. He was predeceased by a granddaughter Rosemarie Neumann. Services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John's Lutheran Church 10th Street, Quakertown. Call Saturday 8:30-10:00 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc.
