Obituary Joyce M Sumerfield July 27,1934 - June , 15, 2021 Joyce , 86 died June 15, in Altoona hospital, Altoona pa with family by her side. Born and raised in Quakertown after graduation from high school worked in a sewing factory. She then married had three children and moved to Milford Square where all her children were raised. Joyce was a selfless giver, putting others first, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She was a talented artist, organ and piano player. She also played the accordion and violin in her youth. Joyce also lived in Tilghman Island, MD. after meeting her companion of many years. There she was a professional crabber harvesting the Chesapeake Bay in the summer months. She loved working and being on the water. In the winter you could find her at the hunting lodge in Chestertown MD. enjoying nature, baking and preparing meals for the hunters who would come. While living in Three Springs, Pa. she also danced enjoying every minute. Her favorite form of dance was tap. She liked helping the children in all their classes at the dance studio and the children loved Miss Joyce. She loved spending time at Raystown Lake feeding chipmunks, ducks or squirrels around and burnt campfire hotdogs. She also enjoyed family cats Punky and Frankie. But most of all she loved and cared for her family. Survived by; daughter Debra Cook husband Gary Grandson Jeremy Son Paul S Sumerfield, granddaughter Angie Hahn husband John, great granddaughter Devin great grandson Seth granddaughter Debbie Bishop all of Pa. Grandson Kenny Sumerfield FL. Keith Sumerfield MD. Proceeded in death by; Companion Eddie McMullin Son Kenneth S Sumerfield grandson Michael Sumerfield Lifelong friend Barbara Sumerfield.
