Joseph J. Oxenford, 74, of Quakertown died August 26, 2009 in Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown. He was the husband of the late Mary (Weikert) Oxenford. Born in Quakertown he was the son of the late Albert E. & Frances (Andryejewski) Oxenford. He retired in 1993 as a supervisor for Merck & Co., West Point. After retiring he worked part time at the Pennridge Airport. Joseph was a member of the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum in Reading. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was also a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church, Quakertown. He is survived by a daughter Susan M. Messenger and her husband Thomas of Harleysville. A son Todd J. and his wife Aida of Quakertown. A sister Joyce Hockman and her husband Lance of Quakertown. Three grandchildren Ryan, Aidan, Austin. He was predeceased by two brothers Albert and Robert. Services will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 2:30 P.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W.
