John "Jack" Harris, 90 of Quakertown formerly of Rockledge died Saturday August 14, 2010 in Dublin, at the home of his daughter Mary. He was the husband of Adelaide (Thomas) Harris. They celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in April. Born in Waterbury, Connecticut he was the son of the late John E. and Helen M. (White) Harris. He retired as a service repairman from Elliott Lewis Corp. in Philadelphia prior to that he was a serviceman for the former Carrier Air Conditioning. Jack enjoyed bowling and bowled in the Catholic Bowling League. He also enjoyed working on his award winning antique cars. He was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Quakertown. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII serving in the South Pacific. In addition to his wife Adelaide he is survived by two daughters Mary Shelmire of Dublin and Beatrice Williams and her husband Ronald of Warrington. Six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter Barbara a son James, son in law James W. Shelmire, Jr. and a sister Beatrice Stumpf. A mass will be held on Thursday August 19, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Isidore's Catholic Church, 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, PA. Call from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Isidore's building fund 603 W.
