John J. Coleman

John J. Coleman, of Quakertown passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017, in the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. He was 76. He was born in Easton on July 12, 1940 a son of the late Mary (Miller) and George W. Coleman. John married the former Roseanne T. McKinney and together they would have shared 31 years of love on August 17. John loved his family and friends and touched the lives of everyone he met. From the second you met him, he made you smile, laugh and feel comfortable. He was larger than life. A passionate fan of both the Reading and Philadelphia Phillies. He retired as an independent contractor in the home improvement/ construction industry, and prior to that he was a supervisor for Asplundh Manufacturing. He is survived by his loving wife, Roseanne; sons, Robert deGroot and wife, Cheney of Keller, Texas and their two children, Jarrett W. Coleman of New Tripoli, Pa., and his two children and granddaughter, Jason J. Coleman of Greer, S.C. and his two children; step daughter, Pamela Kelch of Wescosville, Pa., sisters, Melody A. Lines and husband Kenneth of Ottsville, and Betty J. Myers and husband Marvin of Harleysville. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Gladys Coleman, Shirley Coleman, Arlene Ward and Isabel E. Coleman Services will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, preceded by a viewing from 5 to 7 p.m. in the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, 821 West Broad Street, Quakertown.
