John D. "Doc" Zettelmoyer, 69, of Quakertown formerly of White Deer, PA died March 9, 2016 in his home. Born in Williamsport, PA he was the son of the late Martin Abraham & Mildred Delores (Huff) Zettelmoyer. He was last employed as a veterinarian at Rockhill Animal Hospital. Prior to that he worked at the Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital. John was a volunteer for the Quakertown High School marching band for 25 years. He was also a member of the Keystone Rod and Gun Club where he was acting president and he was an avid skier. He was a flight Instructor in the U.S. Air Force and also was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He is survived by two daughters, Karen Z. Fosbenner of Quakertown and Ellen F. Zettelmoyer of Cobalt, CT. Three grandchildren Alexander, Eric, and Rachael. Predeceased by a brother Robert Zettelmoyer. A visitation will be held on Saturday March 19, from 2:00 P.M to 4:00 P.M. at the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 West Broad Street, Quakertown, Pa. 18951. John will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery, New Columbia, PA at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the John Zettelmoyer Scholarship Fund 216 Allison Rd, Oreland, PA 19075.
