John D. DeLong, 80, of Quakertown, went to be with the Lord, March 4, 2015. John was the beloved husband of the late Carol DeLong. Born in Allentown he was the beloved son of the late John and Hannah (Dubel) DeLong. He was a retired, self-employed carpenter. He was a member of the Hilltown Baptist Church, Hilltown and a member of the Quakertown YMCA. He enjoyed fishing, building furniture, and body building. John was Mr. Lehigh Valley in 1955. He is survived by a son William DeLong, two daughters Nancy Shaul and her husband Kevin, and Holly Applegate. Four grandchildren Nina DeLong, Jade DeLong, Charles F. Dilliard, III, and Denise Mumbauer, and her husband Troy, four great grandchildren Angelina, Orion, Skylar, and Kiari. He was predeceased by four sisters Betty Rasley, Susan Stoble, Verna Weaver and Josephine Coles. He was also predeceased by three brothers Benneville, Albert "Hap" and Jake DeLong. He is survived by his loving sister in law, Joan, wife of late Jake DeLong, along with 18 nieces and six nephews. Special thanks to St Lukes Hospice team and his beloved granddaughter Denise and her husband Troy for caring for John in his final hours. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the Hilltown Baptist Church 26 Church Rd., Chalfont, PA 18914. Call Monday from 10:00-11:00 A.M. in the church. The C. R.
