Jeffrey M. Sabotta

September 15, 1978 — September 20, 2020

Obituary Jeffrey M. Sabotta had just turned 42 on September 15, 2020; he passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at St. Luke's Allentown Hospital with his wife Allison, friends and family surrounding him with light and love. Jeff was born in West Chester, PA where he grew up and made lifelong friends Andy and Nick. Just before Jeff's Junior year of high school his father was transferred to the Orfield area and Jeff, along with his siblings, became Lehigh Valley transplants. To say that even into his 40's Jeff was angry about the move is an understatement. What Jeff would counter his anger for leaving his childhood home with was that had he not moved to the Valley he would have never met the person he called the 'love of his life.' Jeff and Allison met at a party, went on their first date two days later and the rest is history. They were married in 2005 and would have celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary on November 12, 2020. In all the time they were together only a few nights were spent apart when one or the other were traveling. Jeff often making trips to his beloved Vermont with his buddies for their favorite beer and food. While Jeff and Allison didn't fill their home with children they filled it with furry little feline feet. Poe, Harper, Kipling and Coupland were Jeff's pride and joy. Every time one of the furry ninjas would climb on his lap or cuddle him in bed Jeff would proudly announce that he couldn't do anything for the time being because 'he had a baby.' Jeff started his photographic career in the Lehigh Valley at Dan's Camera City and for the past 11 years had successfully run and grown his own photography business, Sabotta Imagery Photography. Sharing his gift and his passion for photography with everyone he came in contact with, he was truly the picture of someone who turned what he loved into what he did and what he was. To quote his 'about me' section on his website, ' Being a photographer is more than a job to me, it is who I am; it defines how I see the world. And the world is beautiful.' The pride he took in his job and the care with which he photographed every one of his subjects was unparallelled. Jeff was, still is in fact, a bright spot in the people's lives he touched. Everyone who met him wanted to know him, and if you were lucky enough to know him you were lucky enough. He considered everyone he met his friend and would immediately make them feel like the most important person in any situation. If you were one of his closest friends you know that he would never waste an opportunity to tell you how much he loved you or to make sure he had a goofy little gift for you. He made it a point to make sure that everyone in his life knew how incredibly special and how overwhelmingly loved they were by him. We should all be so lucky as to have someone of Jeff's caliber in our lives. Jeff is survived by his adoring wife, Allison Sabotta; his loving parents Kenneth and Patricia Sabotta; his sister Kristina and her husband Richard and their children Richelle, Alex, Zane and Connor Horstman; his brother Brian and his wife Valerie and their son Benjamin Sabotta; paternal Grandmother Roberta Sabotta; his father and mother in-law Joseph and Suzanne Sabo; his brother in-law Joshua Sabo; his God children, Alyssa Martucci, Emma Wismer and Ethan Wismer; and his aunts, uncles and cousins and all of those whose lives he touched. There will be a celebration of life held for Jeff when large gatherings are allowed again. It is neither fair to Jeff or his extensive group of friends and family to not be able to come and celebrate and honor the way he deserves right now. When plans can be made the details will be shared with everyone who would like to attend. Arrangements are in the care of the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) Quakertown. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Bucks County SPCA-Quakertown location 60 Reservoir Rd. Quakertown, PA 18951 in Jeff's name. Services Services are to be announced
