Jeanne E. Wingate

Jeanne E. Wingate, 75 of Quakertown died April 12, 2013 in her home. Born in Reading she was the daughter of the late Karl H. and Adelaide (Zweizig) Uhlig. She was a secretary in the Human Resource Dept. of the Pine Run Community in Doylestown before her retirement. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Quakertown. Jeanne was a 1956 graduate of Doylestown High School. She enjoyed painting, sewing and crocheting hats for needy children and dresses for the children of Haiti. She also had a love for the ocean. Mom was the cornerstone of our family: Mother, Grandmother, Friend. She always had a smile on her face and had contagious laughter that touched everyone. She will be truly missed. She was the beloved mother of Donna Freund (Pete), Sharon Wingate, Philip Wingate, Melissa Morrison (Raymond) and the late Douglas and Scott. Beloved grandmother of Philip and Logan Freund, Carley Wingate and Bradley Lay. Sister of Paul Uhlig (Marilyn) and the late Faye Stringer. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday April 17, at 2:00 p.m. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St Quakertown, PA 18951.
