Jean Adele Afflerbach, 78, of Red Hill formerly of Trumbauersville died December 3, 2012 in Pennsburg Manor, Pennsburg. She was the wife of Philip J. Afflerbach. They were married 59 years on November 28, 2012. Born in Quakertown she was the daughter of the late Henry O. & Gertrude (Hillegas) Wieand. She worked at the former Fashion Bug in Quakertown retiring in 2001. Jean was a past president of the Quakertown Gardening Club, and a former den mother of Pack 55. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 242 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, and playing the piano. Jean was a member of First United Church of Christ in Quakertown where she was a church usher. In addition to her husband she is survived by three sons Bruce P. and his wife Debra of Allentown, Scott H. of Minotola, NJ., and John W. and his wife Dawn of Red Hill . Three grandchildren Stephanie, Kyle, and Ryan. Services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W.
