Jane F. Bernstein, Quakertown, formerly of Chalfont, died October 12th in Valley Manor Nursing Home, Springfield Township. She was 81. She was the wife of the late Philip W. Bernstein. Born in Philadelphia, Jane was the daughter of the late Harry & Mary E. (Stubbs) Bright. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a waitress for the St. Marie Club in Lansdale. Jane was a member of the Sellersville American Legion Post 255, the Sellersville VFW Forrest Lodge and the Sellersville Moose. She is survived by a daughter JoAnn of San Bernadino, CA; two sons - Bill and his wife Evelyn of Quakertown, and Gary of Plumsteadville; a son-in-law Carl Bauman of Telford; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter Betty Lou Bauman, a sister Betty Cranney, and a daughter-in-law Carol. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, October 17th at 10:00 AM in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad Street, Quakertown with calling hours from 9:00-10:00.
