James S. Peiffer

James S. Peiffer, 92, of Quakertown formerly of Jonestown died October 30, 2017 in Medow Glen at Phoebe Richland, Richlandtown. He was the husband of Blanche A. (Paul) Peiffer. They were married 70 years last February. Born in Toledo, Ohio he was the son of the late Robert M. & Stella (Yeingst) Peiffer. He retired as a maintenance supervisor for J.C. Penney in Harrisburg. James enjoyed bowling and repairing lawn mowers. He was a U.S. Marines Veteran serving during WW II. He was a member of First Church of the Brethren in Quakertown, and a former member of St. Jacobs Kimmerlings Church in Lebanon County. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Harold Raymond Peiffer (Susan) of Coopersburg. A sister Anna Gould of New Bern, NC and a grandchild Amber Jade. He was predeceased by a brother Robert and a sister June Heilman. Services will be held on November 4, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W.
