Howard J. Wieand, 84 of Quakertown died Saturday October 2, 2010 in Rockhill Mennonite Community , Sellersville. He was the husband of the late Betty L. (Lewis) Wieand. Born in Spinnerstown he was the son of the late Howard E. and Marie (Hughes) Wieand. Howard was a supervisor for Western Electric in Allentown until 1967 then becoming the proprietor of Howard Tool & Machine Co., Inc in Trumbauersville until his retirement in 2000. He was a member of the Quakertown Masonic Lodge #512 and the Lehigh County Farm Bureau. He was also a member of the Quakertown American Legion Post #242 and a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of WWII. He was a member of Trinity Great Swamp United Church of Christ in Spinnerstown and served on the church cemetery board. He is survived by two sons Timothy H. and his wife Lola of Quakertown and Jeffrey L. and his wife Catherine of Pottstown, two daughters Patricia W. Farrenkopf and husband Michael of Peyton, CO and Melissa M. Wieand of Quakertown. A brother Charles and his wife Norma of St. Michaels, MD and a sister Alverda Fedorowicz of Quakertown. Five grandchildren Stefanie Kandel and husband James, Rebecca, Jeffrey, Sarah and Christine. He was predeceased by his twin sister Marie. Services will be held on Wednesday October 6, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Great Swamp U.C.C. 9150 Spinnerstown Rd. Spinnerstown, Pa 18968. Call from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
