Herman J. Moyer, 88 of Quakertown died Wednesday September 2, 2009 in his home. He was the husband of the late Virginia (Price) Moyer. Born in Northampton, PA he was the son of the late Herman and Agnes (Yanderschitz) Moyer. He was a heavy equipment operator for PennDOT before retiring in 1983. He was also the proprietor of Moyer Salvage Yard in Quakertown. Herman still enjoyed riding his heavy equipment up until his illness. He is survived by four daughters, Shirley Klingaman and husband Earl, Sr. of Deer Lodge, MT, Mary Jane Bringhurst and husband Raymond of Coopersburg, Linda Myers and husband Kenneth, Sr. of Pennsburg and Christine Graser of Pennsburg. A sister Emma Mitchell of Bethlehem, 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter Betty Lou Graser three sons, Richard, Frederick and Douglas sister Stell Sulzer and brother Rudy. Herman was also survived by his dogs and best friends Pokey, Joey and Stimpy. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday September 9, at 4:00 p.m. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc.
