Helen J. Jacobes

Obituary We regretfully announce the passing of Helen 'Charlie' Jean (Schauinger) Jacobes of Quakertown, PA on May 13, 2022. Helen was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, sister, and grandmother to all her family. She was brought into this world on April 23, 1945, to Herman and Margaret Schauinger in Erie, Pa. Helen attended college, and was an English Teacher. She married Joseph J, whom she shared 49 years of marriage with. She was an avid childrens' book writer and artist (including making the family's personalized Christmas card every year) and enjoyed sewing and making jewelry. She enjoyed collecting antiques and had a fond love of all animals. She also enjoyed time with the family at antique gas engine shows, where she created an extended family and close friends. As well as being a housewife and mother, she prided herself in her work as the secretary of the family's business, which she did for 25+ years. Helen's surviving family are her husband, Joseph J, son, Jason J of Quakertown, PA, Anthony R (wife - Melanie L) of Quakertown, PA, 3 grandchildren, Zachariah R of TX, Nicholas A of Quakertown, PA, and Abygail R of Quakertown, PA. Helen's surviving relatives are her sister, Katherine van Tassell of MN, brother, Robert Schauinger of MN, 1 niece, Elizabeth D'valle of MN, and 2 nephews, Kristian van Tasselland Kobie Hudson of MN, along with a handful of great-nieces and great nephews. Helen is predeceased by her parents and sister, Teresa Hudson of MN. Helen will be missed by many family and friends throughout the many walks of life that she was a part of. She will be deeply missed for the loving and gentle spirit she was. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Isidores Catholic Church 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd.
