Harold M. (Sidy) Meyers of Quakertown passed away Sunday, January 15, 2006 in Independence Court, Quakertown. He was 87. He was born February 1, 1918 in Coopersburg, Pa and was the son of the late Irvin M. & Elsie (Martin) Meyers. Before WW II in 1936 he joined the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corp.) in Coudersport, Pa. He was there six months. Later he worked for the Pa. Highway Department building roads. He also worked for Donald Jarrett in the Paper Plate Factory in Trumbauersville, Pa. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Quakertown. Harold loved to take long walks with his cane, helping others, watching sports ,and in his early days trapping for muskrats. He was a good guy and he will be missed. He is survived by two sisters Ruth Dietz and her husband William and Dorothy Myers and a brother William Meyers. Also nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Lester Meyers, a sister Ada Hager, a niece Linda Garrity, and a grand niece Christine Steskal. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 19, 2006 in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. Viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Quakertown Union Cemetery.
