H. Edward (Ed) Barth, 72, of Quakertown formerly of Telford, died October 12, 2010 in St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. He was the husband of Kathleen T. (Troxel) Barth. They would have been married 45 years on October 23, 2010. Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Elmer & Bernice (Balilionis) Barth. He was last employed as a bus driver for Levy Bus Company in Trumbauersville. Prior to that he was a dispatcher for M & M Stone Company in Telford and a plant manager for the former Josten's in Telford. Ed was a train enthusiast enjoying diesel, steam and all Lionel model trains. He also enjoyed doing carpentry around the house including woodworking. He enjoyed reading, computers and traveling. Ed proudly served his country as a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. Ed was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Quakertown. In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons David E. of Boyertown, Brian E. of Horsham and Christopher E. of Coopersburg. A sister Alice Ann Murphy and her husband George of Hatfield. Two grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Isidore's Catholic Church 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd. Quakertown. Call 9:30-10:30 A.M. in the church.
