Gladys M. (Keller) Christman, 99, of Telford formerly of Quakertown died April 25, 2011 at the Lutheran Community of Telford. She was the wife of the late Calvin D. Christman. Born on August 12, 1911 and raised on a farm 1 mile north of Keller's Church, she was the daughter of the late Harvey A. & Emma (Althouse) Keller. She worked for the former Eagle's (Fishman's) Shirt Factory from 1934-1959. She continued working from 1960-1973 at the Quakertown High School cafeteria. After her retirement she did volunteer work serving lunches at Upper Bucks Senior Citizen Center in Quakertown. In 1979 she joined and remained a member of the Bucks County RSVP Organization. She was president of the former Golden Age Club for three years. In 1991 she moved to the Lutheran Community in Telford, but remained active in her different organizations. Gladys was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Quakertown where she remained an active member all of her life. She is survived by her son Howard Wayne Snyder and his wife Gloria of Lansdale. Three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. Call 9:30-10:30 A.M. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church 102 N. Hellertown Ave., Quakertown, PA 18951.
