Gerald A. Smith, 77, of Silverdale died March 23, 2010 in Grand View Hospital. He was the husband of Myrna J. (Strawsnyder) Smith. They were married 55 years. Born in Pleasant Valley, PA he was the son of the late Stanley C. & Edna (Mease) Smith. He was a truck driver for Kratz Trucking in Hilltown before his retirement. Gerald was a social member of the American Legion Nase Kraft Post 255 of Sellersville and also a member of the Sellersville Moose. He enjoyed fishing and tinkering with mechanics especially his trucks. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Stanley C. and his wife Jeannette of Harleysville, three daughters Dianne M. Marchiano and her husband Anthony of Dunedin, FL, Patricia A. Alderfer and her husband Bradley of Telford, and Jerri L. Moyer and her husband Michael of Perkasie. A brother James, three sisters Virginia, Elaine, Ellen. Four grandchildren Elizabeth, Caleb, Kira, and Angela. He was predeceased by a brother Richard. Services will be held on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 8:00 P.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. Call Friday 7:00-8:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
