George R. Black, 63, of Richlandtown, died February 17, 2009 in St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. Born in Wildwood, NJ, he was the son of the late Andrew & Helen Ruth (Headley) Black. He was a forklift operator for Old Castle Lawn and Garden in Quakertown. A 1964 graduate of Pennridge High School, George was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War and was a member of the East Greenville American Legion Post 184. He is survived by two sons: Kenneth Paul of Perkasie and Jamie Robert of Tucson, AZ; three daughters: Tammi Marie and Mary Kathryn, both of Tuscon, AZ, and Holly Stoll of Alma, NY.; and three sisters: Donna Lane, Mary Ellen Becker, and Barbara Snyder. He had twelve grandchildren. George is also survived by his fiance Sandy L. Grove. He was predeceased by a son, John Andrew. A viewing will be held on Friday evening, February 27, from 7:00-8:30 P.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com), 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. The family will hold a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 28 at the American Legion Nase Kraft Post 255, 75 North Main Street, Sellersville PA, 18960.
