George Harrison Trumbower, 90, of Telford formerly of Perkasie died April 23, 2010 at the Lutheran Community at Telford. He was the husband of Martha (McKeever) Trumbower. They were married 67 years in February. Born in Zion Hill, Bucks County he was the son of the late Earl M. & Eva (Stauffer) Trumbower. After 45 years of service George retired in 1983 as an underwriter for Harleysville Mutual Insurance Co. He also served on the Pennsylvania State Insurance Board and owned and operated his own insurance agency. George was a member of the Quakertown Lions Club for over 50 years and was one of the founders of the Upper Bucks Lions Kidney Foundation. He was a very active member serving on various committees of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Quakertown. He was also a member of the Indian Valley Country Club, the Sellersville Moose and a trustee of the Zion Hill Cemetery Association. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WW II. In addition to his wife Martha he is survived by his children Bill (Mimi), Tom (Donna), Jerry (Lynn), David (Michele), and Jane Hastings (Michael). Two brothers Henry and Earl, Jr. (Janet). Five sisters Elaine Afflerbach (Joe), Janice Hinkle, Anna Mae Gutshall, Mary Ellen Miller (Bob), Nina Jelley (Bill). Sixteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren. Predeceased by an infant daughter Ann Louise. Services will be held on Friday April 30, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church 560 S. Main St. Quakertown. Call Thursday evening 7:00-8:30 P.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown and Friday 9:00-10:00 A.M. in the church.
