George F. Gebert, Jr. 86, of Pennsburg formerly of Floral Park, NY and Brooklyn, NY died Wednesday, June 7, 2006 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twsp. He was the husband of the late Bridget Dugan (Curran) Gebert. Born in Jersey City, NJ he was the son of the late George F., Sr. & Violet B. (Coulter) Gebert. He was an electrician planner estimator retiring in 1977 from the Naval Air Development Center in Warminster. Prior to that he was employed at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). He was a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran from 1940-1949 serving during WW II in Scotland, England, Algeria, French Morocco, Sicily, Tunisia, Italy, and Germany. He was a former member of the Willow Grove American Legion. In retirement he was an active member of the Jacksonville Beach Golf Club. He was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Quakertown. He is survived by a son William F. of Pennsburg. A brother Richard and two sisters Violet Anderson and Florence Cavanaugh all of Jacksonville, Florida, along with 34 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Mary and three brothers Jack, Drayton, and Ritchie. A mass will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Isidore's Catholic Church 2545 W.
