Frank P. Moran, 70, of Quakertown formerly of Willow Grove died July 17, 2012 in St. Luke's University Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Sandra L. (Boylan) Moran. They were married 46 years in April. Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Francis J. & Mary (Dougherty) Moran. After 29 years of employment he retired in 1999 from MERCK in West Point. He read the daily newspaper and enjoyed doing the cryptograms, Sudoku and crossword puzzles. Having many books in his personal library he was an avid reader especially enjoying Clive Cussler. He enjoyed taking road trips especially visiting and seeing caves, Civil War Battlefields, especially Gettysburg, battleships and visiting historic homes, and lighthouses. Other destinations were Peddler's Village especially in the Spring and at Christmas Time and eating at Roy Ann Diner in Sellersville. He also enjoyed taking many trips to Rehoboth Beach, DE. Frank was also a Phillies and 76ers fan. He was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Quakertown. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son James F. of North Wales. A sister Rosemary Cotellese and her husband Joseph of Willow Grove. Two grandchildren Matthew and Stephanie. Two nieces and two nephews. A mass will be held on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Isidore's Catholic Church 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd. Quakertown. Call Sunday evening 7:00-8:30 P.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown and Monday 9:30-10:30 A.M. in the church. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. David's Catholic School Library 401 N Easton Rd. Willow Grove, PA 19090, for the purchase of books for the students.
