Francis D. Helverson

Obituary Francis D. Helverson, 73, of Upper Saucon Township passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Frank was the beloved husband of Bernadette (Vitale) Helverson with whom he shared 49 years of marriage. Born and raised in Roxborough, PA, he was the son of the late Robert and Martha (Alexander) Helverson. After graduating from Roxborough High School, Frank was drafted into the United States Marine Corp and proudly served his country as a Corporal. He won two military honors which included the National Defense Service Medal and Meritorious Mast Award. He worked 30 years as a Facilities Manager for Richardson-Vicks which later was acquired by Proctor & Gamble. Frank was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, loved to dance, and watch westerns on the television. He enjoyed coaching baseball for teams in Quakertown and Pennridge Little Leagues. Frank will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Bernadette; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Scott Muller of Upper Saucon, PA; son, Erik Helverson of Newtown, PA; three grandsons, Derek, Luke, and Elijah; three sisters, Joan Salus (Phil) of Pompton Plains, NJ; Linda Zaborski of The Villages, FL, and Sally Phillips, (Jim) of Lynchburg, VA and many nieces and nephews. His passing was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Martha Helverson, as well as his two brothers, Robert Helverson and William Helverson.
