Everett L. Afflerbach

Obituary Everett L. Afflerbach, 84, of Quakertown died May 22, 2018 in St. Lukes Hospital-Quakertown Campus. He was the loving husband of 60 years to Shirley Ann (Nyce) Afflerbach. Born in Quakertown he was the son of the late Jacob J. & Evelyn A. (Roth) Afflerbach. Everett was a Tool and Die maker for Ametek for 33 years before his retirement. He enjoyed music and played the trombone for 25 years with the Marine Band, the Citizens Band, and the Quakertown Band. He also served his Country Honorably in the Marines where he was an Aviation Navigator. Everett was a master carpenter by trade building the house that he and his family lived in. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He taught evening classes at the Upper Bucks Technical School sharing his knowledge and talents. Everett was a true "Jack of All Trades". He loved his beagles and was a wonderful grandfather. Everett was a 60 year member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Quakertown where he served as an usher, was on the property committee and served on church council. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Chris A. Afflerbach and his wife Donna of Quakertown, a daughter Tracy Kulp and her husband Jerry of Quakertown. Four grandchildren Jordan, Corey, Brandon, and Ashley. Predeceased by a daughter Susan Laub who passed in January of 2018 and a brother Marshall Afflerbach. Services will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in Trinity Lutheran Church 102 N. Hellertown Ave. Quakertown, PA 18951. A viewing will be held from 1:00-2:00 P.M. in the church.
