Evelyn K. Sands

Evelyn K. Sands, 73, of Quakertown formerly of Philadelphia died Monday, January 31, 2005 in her home. She was the wife of James J. Sands, Jr. They were married 54 years last September. Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Thomas & Ida (Kiesel) Cantwell. She was a homemaker enjoying sewing, cooking, and gardening. She was also a bank teller for the former Cheltenham Federal Bank in Lawndale. She was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Quakertown and a former member of St. Williams Catholic Church in Lawndale. In addition to her husband she is survived by a son James J. Sands, III and his wife Diane of Quakertown, a daughter Patricia L. wife of Joseph Zollo of Lansdale. A sister Mildred Merkel of Fox Chase. Three sister-in-laws Doris Schultes, Janet Kennedy, Sister Marilyn Sands, a brother in law Vincent Sands. 7 grandchildren Kelly, Joseph, James, Patrick, Nicole, Michael, & Stephanie. 4 great grandchildren James, Zachary, Kayla, & Anthony. A mass will be held on Friday, February 4, 2005 at 12:00 P.M. at St. Isidore's Catholic Church 531 W. Broad St. Quakertown. Call Friday 11:00-12:00 P.M. in the church. The C. R.
