Eunice A. Hanselman

Eunice Hanselman, 82, of Quakertown, died on Friday, October 30th at her residence. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Quakertown. Eunice grew up in Leithsville, later moving to Quakertown when she married. She was at that time employed by Zawick's in Hellertown. Eunice was a talented seamstress who made everything from doll clothing to prom gowns and car seat covers. She was also quite accomplished with tools, doing her own home improvements, laying flooring, carpeting and even paneling a room. She was an active member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of Fire Company #2 in Quakertown for many years. Also, she was a child care provider in her home for more than 40 years. She was a hard worker and you would rarely catch her sitting down, but one of her favorite things to do was sit on her patio in the very early morning with a cup of coffee when the sun was coming up. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and they were her pride and joy. She will be remembered for her willingness to do anything to help out others, never expecting anything in return. Survivors: Eunice will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 58 years, Carl, daughter Gayle Hammond, her grandchildren, Brandon and Kristen, four sisters, Dorothy, Betty, Marjorie and Faye, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Kenneth, and four sisters, Grace, Ruth, Florence and Verna. Services: Will be held at the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc.
