Ernst R. Warnke, 77, of Easton died March 24, 2017 in St. Lukes Hospice House, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Kathleen (Ballantine) Warnke. Born in Midlum, Germany he was the son of the late Alfred & Toni Warnke. He was a tractor trailer driver his entire life. He enjoyed gardening and caring for his many fruit trees and loved spending time with his family. He served his country honorably in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Era and was a member of the American Legion. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Richard Warnke (Kelly) of Quakertown, Barbara Warnke Palermo (Joseph) of Souderton , James Warnke (Tara) of Nazareth, Robert Warnke (April Kane-Warnke) Bellmore, NY. Two sisters Christa Osmer (Heinz) of Cappel, Germany, and Gertrud Huck (Herbert) of Glendale, NY. Six grandchildren Jacob Palermo, Danielle Palermo, Jack Warnke, Annaliese Warnke, Liam Warnke, & Nolen Warnke. Two step grandchildren Asher & Norah Girton. Numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson Michael Warnke. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 2:30 P.M. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:30 p.m. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc.
