Emma J. Shive, 88, of Quakertown died February 5, 2011 in St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. She was the wife of Robert H. Shive. They were married 64 years last November. Born in Hosensack she was the daughter of the late Irwin & Emma (Moll) Leister. She and her husband co-owned the former Quaker Maid Pastry Shop in Quakertown before retiring. Emma was a member of the former Quakertown Eastern Star Chapter. She enjoyed babysitting and raising her grandchildren. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Quakertown. In addition to her husband she is survived by a son William R. and his wife Linda of Coopersburg, a daughter Susan Collins and her husband David of Quakertown. Two brothers Eugene and his wife Edith and Durell both of Quakertown, four sisters Eleanor Reese of Muncy, IN, Gloria Kline and her husband David of Perkasie, June Laudenslager of Aurora, CO, and Elizabeth Mehofer of Frederick. Four grandchildren Brian Weaver and his wife Kendra, Jason Weaver, Courtney Shive and Derrick Shive. Six great grandchildren. Three step grandchildren David, Andrew, and Scott Collins. Two sister in laws Dorothy Greene and her husband James of Souderton, and Shirley Leister of Quakertown. She was predeceased by two brothers Harry & William and two sisters Dorothy Rothenberger and Ethel Bigler. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at First United Church of Christ 151 S. 4th St. Quakertown, Pa 18951. Call 10:00-11:00 A.M. in the church. The C. R.
