Elmer F. Shearer, 74, of Quakertown died November 11, 2010 in the Hospice House of the VNA of St. Luke's, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Shirley (Weaver) Shearer. They were married 55 years in August. Born in Quakertown he was the son of the late Ephraim & Jenny (Bergstresser) Shearer. He was a retired logger. Elmer enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of Ridge Valley Gun Club and Camp Savage in Dingmans Ferry, Pa. He was also a member of the Coopersburg Social club. He enjoyed fixing and tinkering with motors. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Richard Elmer Shearer, three daughters Deborah Ann Kline, Luann McCarthy, and Donna Marie Vogel. A brother Raymond Shearer, and two sisters Grace Skriletz and Helen Kline. Seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson.
