Ellen Betty French

Ellen Betty French, 75, of Quakertown died May 23, 2016 in St. Lukes University Hospital, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Paul J. French, Sr. They were married 59 years last September. Born in Weisel, PA she was the daughter of the late Russel & Ellen (Renner) Crist. She was last employed in the custodial department for the Southern Lehigh School District at the Liberty Bell Elementary School and also for the Quakertown Community School District at the Strayer Middle School. She was a member of Springfield Church of the Brethren in Coopersburg. In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons Paul J., Jr. of Lehighton and Michael (Sherri) of Center Valley. Four sisters Dorothy Soderback (Kenneth), Kathy Fox (Kenneth), Dolores Frei (Harold) and Linda Kalmar. Six grandchildren April (Barry), Paul, III (Sabrina), Amanda (Shawn), Michael (Jaimee), Colin (Megan), and David. Nine great grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown, PA 18951. Call 1:00-3:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
