Elizabeth M. "Betty" Custer, Quakertown, died Saturday September 18th at LifeQuest Nursing Center. She was 90 years old. She was the wife of James Custer. They celebrated sixty six years of marriage this past Christmas Eve. Born in Bucks County, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Edith (Meyers) Fluck. Betty graduated from the former Sell-Perk High school in 1937 and later from the Pierce Business School in Philadelphia. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a secretary for elementary schools in the Quakertown School District. Betty was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, a former member and officer of the Quakertown Women's Club, and volunteered countless hours in the Quakertown School District and St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital gift shop. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son Timothy, Quakertown, a daughter Pamela Rosenthal and her husband Ed of Reston, Virginia, six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Services will be held Tuesday, September 21st at 11:00AM at C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com), 821 West Broad Street, Quakertown with a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 in the funeral home.
