Edward Patrick O'Brien, of Upper Black Eddy, formerly of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, December 25, 2007 in St. Luke's Hospital Bethlehem. He was 61. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Hugh & Lillian (Hoffman) O'Brien. A graduate of Drexel University with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Ed was founder and co-owner of Brice Associates, LLC, Engineering Consultants. He was a knight of the third degree with the Knights of Columbus Father Stommel #4545 Council of Ottsville. Ed was an artist who enjoyed painting oil on canvas. He proudly served his country in the United States Army First Cavalry Division during the Vietnam War. Ed was a devout catholic and a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Ottsville. He was a devoted son, father, and grandfather who will forever be remembered for his Irish wit. He is survived by two daughters - Colleen O'Brien of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Catherine Palumbo and her husband Michael of Allentown, PA; two brothers - John and his wife Trisha, of South Carolina and William and his wife Marie of Virginia; two granddaughters - Sophia Skye and Ava Catherine and many nieces and nephews. A mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Church in Ottsville. A viewing will be held Saturday 9:00-10:30 A.M. in the church. The C. R.
