Edward L. Benner, 82, of Spinnerstown died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at St. Luke's University Hospital, Bethlehem Campus. He was the husband of Margaret R. (Miller) Benner. They were married 61 years last June. Born in Souderton he was the son of the late Allen & Sevilla N. (Long) Benner. He was a machinist retiring in 1991 from Insaco, in Quakertown. Edward enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a life time member of Great Swamp Fish and Game Club. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Gary L., two daughters Kathy L. Applegate (Gene), and Susan A. Mood (Don). A brother Linford Benner and a sister Mae Schlemmer. Three grandchildren Michael (Heather), Michelle Applegate, and Ashley Mood. A great granddaughter Olivia Applegate. Predeceased by two brothers, Stanley, and Clarence and a sister Lillian Scheetz Memorial Services will be held at 8:00 P.M. Friday, March 16, 2012 in the C. R.
