Edna Mattes

Edna Mattes, 95, of Quakertown formerly of Revere died October 31, 2015 in Independence Court, Quakertown. She was the wife of the late John Mattes and the late Andrew S. Anderson. Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late George & Anna (Hattenfield) Manalys. Before retiring she was employed by the Palisades School District. She was a former member of the Lucky 13 group. She is survived by two daughters Barbara A. Buzdygon, and Alice E. Anderson. A step-son James Mattes (Grace). Five grandchildren Susan, Robert (Nicole), Lisa, Karen, Michael (Ginnie). Six great grandchildren Codi, Isaiah, Nicholas, Samantha, Lillie, and June. Predeceased by a son Andrew Anderson. Services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown, PA 18951.
