Edith M. Swartley, 92, of Quakertown formerly of New Hope and Quarryville, died August 17, 2010 in Quakertown Center Genesis Health Care. She was the wife of the late Eli Swartley. Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Winfield S. & Mabel (Bunner) Tobin. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, and playing games with her grandchildren. She also loved her cats. Edith was a member of the Quakertown Jehovah Witness. She is survived by a son Donald E. of Sellersville, three daughters Barbara Neamand of Doylestown, Mabel Bauer and Mary Swartley both of Lancaster. Twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandchild and several brothers and sisters. Services will be held on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. Call 10:00-11:00 A.M. in the funeral home.
