Dorothy L. Goepfert

Dorothy L. Goepfert, 89, of Quakertown died March 1, 2016 in St. Lukes Hospice House, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Anton J. Goepfert. Born in Souderton she was the daughter of the late Harry & Carrie (Diehl) Royer. She was a member of the Perkasie Fire Company Auxiliary. She enjoyed baking and cooking and was known as a surrogate mother to many. Dorothy was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Perkasie. She is survived by two sons Anton M. "Joe" Goepfert and his wife Patti, and James L. Goepfert. Four grandchildren Crystal, Andrew, Amanda, and Kyle, five great grandchildren Hailey, Jordan, Gabriel, Kasey, and Logan. Two sisters Kathryn Ketterer, and Caroline Bishop and her husband Webb. She was predeceased by two brothers Harry Royer, Arthur Royer, and a sister Jean Ketterer. Services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown, PA 18951. Call 1:00-2:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
