Doris M. Alkins, 78, of Quakertown formerly of Lower Bucks County died February 6, 2010 in Phoebe Richland Health Care Center. Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Raymond & Laura (Kenney) Schmidt. She was last employed as a retail clerk for Rite Aid in Quakertown. She was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Feasterville. She is survived by a daughter Debra Smith of Perkasie, two sons David J., Jr. of Quakertown and Douglas of New Jersey. Five grandchildren Scott, Brett, David III and his wife Amy, Amber and Shirley. Three great grandchildren Aiden, Kody, and MacKenzie. A niece Barbara DeSimone of New Jersey. She was predeceased by a grandson Michael and a brother Raymond and his wife Vivian formerly of Philadelphia. Services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown. Call 9:30-10:30 A.M. in the funeral home.
