Donald E. Soliday

Donald E. Soliday, 84, of Richlandtown died Thursday, October 20, 2005 in St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. He was the husband of Pauline (Reichenbach) Soliday. They were married 52 years last March. Born in Red Hill he was the son of the late Earl & Ruth (Swanger) Soliday. He retired from Perkasie Industries. Prior to that he worked for the former Bucks County Enterprises in Quakertown. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Richlandtown where he was an active volunteer, a member of the 55 plus group and a former church council member. He was a life member of the Richlandtown Fire Company with over 52 years of service holding various offices. He was a past member of the Richlandtown Lions Club and a volunteer with the Richlandtown Playground Association. He was also a member of the AARP on both the National and Local levels, the Quakertown Moose, the NRA, and a life member of the Sellersville VFW. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, and life to its fullest. Donald was a U. S. Army Veteran of WW II. In addition to his wife he is survived by a brother Duane E. and his wife Marian of Johnstown. A cousin Eugene and his wife Barbara of Ft. Myers, Florida. Two godchildren Jennifer Evanko, and Matthew Kessler. Many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Jean Schmidt, and step-brother James. Services will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W.
